Together or alone?

This week was weird. Having fixed one of the devices last sunday, I tried to start new experiments on monday. So I cleaned an new SiC wafer and oxidized it on Monday. On tuesday ,though, I found the sputtering machine broken and ordered a new filament which was arrived on Wednesday. But I could do nothing on that day coz people were on a trip and when they came back, everybody was drunk. No way.
Then, we decided to dessemble the machine and service it. But the guy familiar with the device went on a trip.
Still I'm waiting for him. He may come today (friday) hopefully...
You know, the thing is that I've got to wait for someone. To do this together. It could be finished earlier if I'd come of with the decision to do it by myself.
Now I understand why Henry David Thoreau says "The man who goes alone can start today;but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready".

  • That's true. I feel I get more done alone then in the group. But at the same time now that am older I find certain enjoyment in sharing my time with others even if sometimes it's a hassel.
