Civilization

Yesterday, a colombian guy asked an Hindu friend:
- Do you have TV in your country?

And this was a click to start a long discussion as he was trying to prove that his opinion about india is wrong.

You know, we live in a world of media. Who runs better, can affect more. This Colombian guy has all his mind full of things coming out of TV News. He believes that India is a country of millions of people who do not have anything, no civilization.

To him, civilization, perhaps has another meaning: Music, sex,...

Then, what are we supposed to tell him?

1 Comments:

  • The only thing you can do is to explain things in his terms...show that a country may possess those qualities but on a different level.

I keep passing by your blog, thought I should comment.
