My daily life
I’m still in a comma. A month of stress is passed and it is difficult to adopt with the new conditions. My daily life can be expressed in three words: Waste of time.
People do nothing. They rush and run the whole day but nothing is obtained. Almost nobody thinks about his/her life. To them, turning days to nights is the best thing they can do. Studying is not a part of life here, even at the universities. Morals are giving their place to crimes…
Today, I heard about a circular from the president to all of the universities in which The president asks the universities to stop organizing conferences of any type (in order to prevent prodigality).
Just think about it. Universities can not hold conferences even scientific ones…

Hi Cyrus –
After reading your post I came to the conclusion that things in general are not the way they should be. Have you considered leaving the country for something better?
Hang in there… & cheers :)

Cyrus,
unfortunately that's what I hear from everyone in Iran. that very little gets done each day and people end up wasting most of their time. that the morals are almost non-existent and that as much as getting INTO a university is important to people, studying is not. it's all an extremely depressing story... and I guess it's hard to make a decision between staying and leaving. I just hope you make the choice that's best for you.

sounds really tough to be ale to adapt to a situation like that after years of hard work. . .
Hang in there, hope it gets better for U. . .I really wish it does, one way or another.

Yup, I noticed that too about iran. Specially the morals and the time.
