A small problem

After years of hard study and passing lots of training courses, students participate in an examination -called konkoor- to enter universities. Those who pass the test successfully, are experts in multiple-choice tests and have learned how to choose. In fact a few of them know how to think and what a "University" or "School" means and what is the importance of education in their life.
To most of them, higher education is a way to earn money or something to show off or a way to get out of the country. They just come and go and only a few people are interested in education itself.

Professors and staff members, on the other hand, seem to be bored of lack of facilities and means of education. Their articles are rejected just because they are Iranian; Many scientific webpages refuse to respond those requests from Iran,...

And results are known:
1- We have the record in brain-drain: about 300,000 educated people in 2004 according to UN.
2- Among those who earn their degree outside Ian, only 2 (out of 96) are getting back to the country according to authorities (published in Hamshahri daily).

Only in ...

There are many things to write about. But I can't; Can't coz I do not know how to describe this nation. Anything you see here, is dissapointing. I'll try to convince myself to write.

For this post, and for the sake of writing, I read this two weeks ago: Saudi Arabia has announced that cinemas can start operating after more than 20 years. However, they are not allowed to show anytype of movies and only cartoons can be screened...

My daily life

I’m still in a comma. A month of stress is passed and it is difficult to adopt with the new conditions. My daily life can be expressed in three words: Waste of time.

People do nothing. They rush and run the whole day but nothing is obtained. Almost nobody thinks about his/her life. To them, turning days to nights is the best thing they can do. Studying is not a part of life here, even at the universities. Morals are giving their place to crimes…
Today, I heard about a circular from the president to all of the universities in which The president asks the universities to stop organizing conferences of any type (in order to prevent prodigality).

Just think about it. Universities can not hold conferences even scientific ones…
